At Poulton-le-Sands CE Primary School, we foster an inclusive culture and believe in “Working together to achieve success” for all pupils in our care. We are committed to meeting the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) of every child and ensuring that they make good progress and reach their full potential.

As a school, we work hard to ensure that:

  • Pupils with SEND are identified as early as possible.
  • Children with SEND receive the support and provision they need.
  • Children with SEND are able to participate fully in school life, engaging in activities alongside their peers.
  • Pupils of all abilities who may be underachieving are identified promptly, supported effectively, and enabled to make optimum progress.
  • All staff working with children who have SEND receive appropriate training, support, and guidance.
  • Strong partnerships with parents and carers are developed, with both them and their child actively involved in assessment, planning, and review.

Our SEND Policy and SEND Information Report are reviewed annually and can be downloaded below, along with out school’s local offer and additional notes for parents.
