At Poulton, we have a bespoke Design and Technology curriculum that is aligned with the National Curriculum and tailored to reflect our local area. Our curriculum aims to be inspiring, rigorous and highly practical, encouraging pupils to think creatively and solve real-world problems.
Through a wide range of creative and practical activities, children are given opportunities to design, make and evaluate purposeful products. They develop technical knowledge and skills, learn to use tools and materials safely and effectively and apply their understanding across a variety of contexts. Our approach fosters curiosity, resilience and innovation, while helping pupils to see the relevance of Design and Technology in everyday life and future careers.
