At Poulton-le-Sands, we use White Rose Science to support high-quality teaching and learning in science across the school. This approach provides a clear, progressive curriculum that builds children’s scientific knowledge, understanding and enquiry skills in a structured and engaging way.

White Rose Science places a strong emphasis on developing key scientific concepts through investigation, questioning and practical experiences. Lessons are carefully sequenced to help children make connections, deepen their understanding, and apply their learning through scientific enquiry and reasoning.

The programme also supports consistency across year groups and aligns with the National Curriculum, ensuring children are well prepared for future learning.
